You are the morning sun breaking over the horizon,

You are the moon dying in its light.

You are the stars of heaven

Dancing with each other in eternity,

Complete and yet distinct in patterned brilliance.

You cannot be outstripped by speed of light.

There is nowhere that you are not

And yet surprise and joy each morning

Is your breaking bread on rising from rest.

Alone in majesty and power,

Watchful yet not aloof

No thief may steal your glory

Nor despoil your purity and dispassionate regard.

All things bow down before your grace in sovereignty

And yet you love them all.

Feel the glory and the gentleness of peace

Peerless perfection, indestructible in its immanence

Fear nothing that fades at dawn.
