Who knows who or what we will meet around the next corner, but let us rejoice in the present moment and live it to the full.”

IT APPEARS THAT WE ARE SURROUNDED AT ALL TIMES, knowingly or unknowingly, by subtle influences which are brought to bear upon our lives by whispering voices from the present or the past, which seek to counsel and direct our path for good or ill, though we must choose which we will listen to and act upon.
In creating these images, initially I had no idea what they might be about, only some time later did a sense of meaning begin to dawn on me. What I eventually took to be ‘spirits’ continually appeared and played upon the page. They flowed out under my hand and clustered around the main characters, in their hair and clothing, as if this were their habitual dwelling place in ‘spirit world’ – a family of beings lodged within the consciousness and sphere of influence of these individuals.

NOT THE ONLY VOICE WITHIN….
When confused by the many voices in our head, all counselling different directions in life, we may well long to find a source of genuine and dispassionate guidance from one who has our best interests at heart. Help is literally at hand, and all that is required is a genuine desire to seek for some inner guidance which will provide the best for all concerned, and it will be forthcoming in whatever way is most helpful and meaningful to you. A crisis may well bring you to this point, but it isn’t necessary. Many people find it good to simply meditate and wait upon an answer from the silence on a subject of particular interest to them. Others pose a question on paper and start to write what comes to mind, noting but not questioning the words they hear, allowing space for other viewpoints than their own to emerge and work upon the inner tenor of heart and mind, often clarifying and bringing peace to really quite worrying circumstances. I have found that this works really well for me and wouldn’t wish to be without it. Have a go if you fancy it, you may well be really surprised at the penetrating wisdom and practicality it offers on every level. Oh, and give it a bit of space, come back to it a little later before dismissing it out of hand! What do you have to lose? Good luck!
